About the Photographer

Photography was always meant to be a large part of my life. Looking through family photo albums was my idea of fun when I was a little girl. I love that photographs can tell a story, freeze a moment, or capture emotions.

When I was 15 my mom brought home an old film camera from a garage sale and I began taking pictures of landscape and friends. I went on to take photography, darkroom, and photoshop classes in college and got my first DSLR camera when I was 21. Taking photographs was a hobby for years before I had my first daughter, Macy. I got my business license a couple months later and after almost 15 years of taking photos- I finally called myself a professional photographer.

When I’m not working I'm spending as much time as I can with my family- Scott my husband, and two little girls Macy and Regan. On a typical weekend you can find us attempting to create a homestead lifestyle in our new dream home! When that's not going to plan, we take as many vacations as possible!

Life goes by too fast and its important to treasure all the small and big moments- the exciting and mundane- the sweet and tough times- they all add up to one big beautiful life. Photography just happens to be my favorite way of honoring this.

One of my long time clients says it best:

"It’s hard to put into words how important these pictures are: freezing moments in time that we can never get back. Lisa seems to understand that and always takes her time to ensure she captures amazing pictures in beautiful settings."

"I only trust Lisa from Modern Image Photography to capture all of my family's sweet memories. She's done it all from my engagement to maternity, my newborn baby girl to all her birthday shoots. As well as every family photo we have done (I think 8 and counting). She's amazing and I'm always amazed at what she can capture!"
